Help prevent nasogastric or orogastric tubes from shifting or slipping with NeoSnug. The unique, pre-cut nasal NeoSnug goes under the nose and allows you to secure the tubing close to the nares. The oral “bean” shape is ideal for under the lips. Like several of our products, NeoSnug has a NeoBond Hydrocolloid base, which is less likely to irritate sensitive skin. The flap is engineered to hold securely and permanently. Made in the USA!
Directions for Use
Preparation
Clean and dry skin where NeoSnug will be placed per hospital protocol.
Note: It is important for skin to be as clean and dry as possible. NeoSnug will not adhere properly to moist skin or hair. Oils and lotions will also adversely affect adhesion.
DO NOT USE ALCOHOL.
Application
Step 1 Before removing from plastic liner, hydrocolloid adhesive must be actively warmed. Warming techniques include: hold between the palms of your hands for at least 60 seconds, hold near a radiant warmer for 10-15 seconds, or hold against a chemical heel warmer for 10-15 seconds.
Step 2 One at a time, peel NeoSnug from the clear, printed liner, place on skin, and hold in place for 60 seconds to ensure proper adhesion.
Note: If only using one NeoSnug (N7014, N7015), save second one for later use. Discard liner when done.
Step 3 Fold down the flap and peel away the white, paper liner labeled “1” from the base of the NeoSnug. This will expose the adhesive surface.
Step 4 Lay tubing across the base.
Step 5 Peel away the white, paper liner labeled “2” from the flap and fold the flap over the tubing to secure.
Note: Once closed, the NeoSnug flap is engineered to remain permanently in place. You cannot open and close repeatedly.
Removal
Step 1 Replace NeoSnug and attached tubing every 5 days or per hospital protocol, whichever is sooner.
Step 2 With the tubing still secured, saturate NeoSnug with water or saline.
Step 3 Slowly peel the NeoSnug away from the skin as you swab the skin with water or saline.
Step 4 Remove tubing per hospital protocol and discard NeoSnug and tubing.
INDICATIONS FOR USE
NeoSnug is intended to support, secure, and hold gastrointestinal tubes on patients’ skin.
