The EZCare Softouch is a skin friendly tracheostomy tube holder that wicks moisture thanks to its NeoFoam Ultra construction. It comes in multiple colors and patterns to brighten the environment. Better still, it helps to limit neck irritation while still holding the tube in place. Clinicians can choose from different sizes to suit a patient’s needs and can cut the fabric of the 2-piece sizes as needed to create the ideal fit.
Directions for Use
Measuring
Select proper size by using EZCare Softouch measuring tape strip provided.
Place start line at flange on left side and wrap behind neck to right flange. If measurement falls between sizes, try larger size first.
Single Piece (N9105-N9111)
Step 1 With smooth, white side facing neck, insert hook tab through flange on one side of plate.
Step 2 Pull tab back over flange and firmly press white hook fabric to neckband fabric to ensure proper securement.
Step 3 Wrap EZCare around neck and insert hook tab through flange on other side of plate.
Step 4 Pull tab back over flange and firmly press white hook fabric to neckband fabric to ensure proper securement.
Note: Ensure that EZCare is taught, but not overly stretched. Adjust as needed.
Step 5 Replace EZCare Softouch every 5 days or per hospital protocol, whichever is sooner.
Replace immediately if hook tab is worn or visibly soiled.
2-piece (N926)
Step 1 Separate two pieces.
Step 2 With smooth, white side facing neck, insert hook tabs through flanges on each side of plate.
Step 3 Pull tab back over flange and firmly press white hook fabric to neckband fabric to ensure proper securement.
Step 4 Wrap both sides of EZCare around neck and bring together.
Step 5 Determine proper length, pull longer piece away from neck and cut excess.
Note: Ensure that skin will not be exposed to hook fabric secure tab.
Step 6 Bring both sides back together and firmly press white hook fabric secure tab to neckband fabric to ensure proper securement.
Note: Ensure that EZCare is taught, but not overly stretched. Adjust as needed.
Step 7 Replace EZCare Softouch every 5 days or per hospital protocol, whichever is sooner.
Replace immediately if hook tab is worn or visibly soiled.
INDICATIONS FOR USE
The EZCare Softouch is intended to secure a patient’s tracheostomy tube. It is intended for use on pediatric (neonates, infants and children) patients.
CAUTIONS & WARNINGS
Federal law restricts this device to sale by or on the order of a physician.
Replace immediately if hook tab is worn or visibly soiled. Worn tab may cause decannulation.
Check regularly to prevent disengagement.
Discontinue immediately if skin irritation occurs.
Single patient use only.
